Iran came up as a runner-up and India was the champion of the first Kabaddi World Cup. Similarly, in the Kabaddi World Cup 2007, India shone again by defeating Iran 29-19. The latest edition of World Cup Kabaddi was held in India in 2016 and the India did it again by defeating Iran 38-29.

Men’s Kabaddi World Cup Winners list- Circle Based.

Kabaddi matches are played in two formats:-

1. circular style

2.standard style.

The World Cup standard style has been discussed above and the match was organized but the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) in 2004 and the Circle style was conducted and organized by the government of Punjab and the match was held every 2 years.

The World Cup Kabaddi in circle style was founded in 2010 and the tournament was postponed in 2015 due to the Guru Granth Sahib desecration controversy.

India has had a role in the the entire Asian Games since the game was introduced in 1990 except in the year 2018, when India became third in the Asian Games. The Asian Game was held in this year 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018. India swept over all the titles of the Asian Games except in 2018.

Asian Kabaddi Championship was in the following years 1980, 1985, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2005, 2008, 2011, 2013, and 2017 and India won all the titles.

Dubai Kabaddi Masters                         

The Dubai Kabaddi Masters was held in the United Arab Emirates in 2018 and it was the first Kabaddi Tournament held in this country. There are six teams participated in the Dubai Kabaddi Masters 2018 – India, Pakistan, Kenya, South Korea, Iran, and Argentina in the final India beat Iran by 44-26 at the final whistle of the match.
