Hardy Nongbri – Career.
Hardy Cliff Nongbri was born in the beautiful state of Meghalaya and began his football career with Shillong Lajong. He was the product of Shillong Lajong Academy and he first showcased his talent in the local Shillong leagues known as Shillong Premier League. He also played in the I-League U19 league, where his skills and dedication quickly stood out.
Recognizing his potential, Shillong Lajong promoted Nongbri to their first team ahead of the 2015–16 I-League season.
On April 10, 2016, Nongbri made his professional debut in a high-stakes match against Sporting Goa. He was brought on as a substitute in the 88th minute, taking over from Zodingliana Ralte. Despite Nongbri’s enthusiasm and the team’s effort, Shillong Lajong couldn’t turn the tide and ended up losing the match 5–2.
Nongbri was marked as an important milestone by starting from local leagues in Shillong and quickly shifting to a professional player in India.
