Aizawl Football Club is one of the best football clubs in Mizoram state, North East India. It is the first football club from the North East to win the I League title in 2015. The club played a strong part in the Mizoram Premier League before making their debut in the I League in 2014-1.In 2017, the club qualified for the Inter-Continental after winning the 2015-16 I League title in the AFC Cup. The club renamed itself a people’s club and the home jersey color was Red.

Brief of Aizawl Football Club
Before Entering onto I League, Aizawl Football Club was actively playing in the amateur league Mizoram Premier League, The League was affiliated with the Mizoram Football Association in 2012 to host the first Mizoram Premier League.
Aizawl Football Club was founded in 1984 in Aizawl City, the state headquarters of Mizoram State. Aizawl Football Club became a professional Club in 2012 when the club was certified by the All India Football Federation after fulfilling all the eligibility criteria by the club as required by AIFF. The Club participated in the I League second Division, a second-tier League on time before the introduction of the Indian Super League in 2013.
Aizawl Football Club was promoted to the I League in the season 2015-16 and it was the first club from North East India to win the top League India, under the Head coach Khalid Jamir.
Aizawl Football Club participated in the AFC Cup as well as in the AFC Champion Cup in 2018.
